Water enthusiasts of all levels will enjoyably learn the aquatic skills necessary for riding waves while
being immersed in lifeguard water safety, surf etiquette, and beach and ocean awareness.  Local male
and female surfers/instructors will demonstrate and in-water assist in all three styles of wave riding:
BODY SURFING, BODY BOARDING and BOARD SURFING

(4 Full days-9am to 3pm-no camp on Wednesday-a day of rest & rejuvenation for the kids)

HOW:  all equipment provided except wetsuits which are available to buy online or (new or used) at the Pro Sport
Center in Eureka & Saltys Surf and Tackle in Trinidad (surf camp participants receive a discount).  Wetsuits are
also available for rent @ HSU's Center Activities in Arcata and Pro Sport Center in Eureka (If you rent a wetsuit
and want to buy after surfcamp, Pro Sport will deduct your rental cost from the sale price.)

activity of wave riding or tune your basic skills before for the coming
winter season & to prepare for the upcoming 2009 surf contest (see

North Jetty. A fun day for surfers of all ages and
abilities.
Noll Longboard Surf Contest-October 1 & 2 in
Crescent City. Another fun weekend and we will be
camping in Crescent City for the weekend.
