Water enthusiasts of all levels will enjoyably learn the aquatic skills necessary for riding waves while being immersed in lifeguard water safety, surf etiquette, and beach and ocean awareness. Local male and female surfers/instructors will demonstrate and in-water assist in all three styles of wave riding:
BODY SURFING, BODY BOARDING and BOARD SURFING

SESSION 1: JUNE 23-27
SESSION 2: JULY 7-11
SESSION 3: JULY 21-25
SESSION 4: AUGUST 4-8
SESSION 5: AUGUST 11-15 (maybe)

*** $195.00 Mon/Tues/Thurs & Fri 9am-3pm at Moonstone Beach ***
(4 Full days-no camp on Wednesday-a day of rest & rejuvenation for the kids)
(Discount when student enrolls a second week///carpooling can be arranged)

1-2-3 DAY MIDWEEK & WEEKEND INDIV. OR SMALL GROUP LESSONS ARRANGED
1 person=$125/day, 2 persons=$80 each/day, 3 persons=$65 each/day

HOW: all equipment provided except wetsuits which are available to buy (new or used) at the Humboldt Surf Company and Greenhouse Board Shop in Arcata, Pro Sport Center in Eureka, Humboldt Boardz in Eureka & Saltys Surf and Tackle in Trinidad (surf camp participants receive a discount). Wetsuits are also available for rent @ Greenhouse Board Shop and HSU's Center Activities in Arcata and Pro Sport Center in Eureka (If you rent a wetsuit and want to buy after surfcamp, they will deduct your rental cost from the sale price.)

**THE ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL KEY TO ENJOYABLE YEAR-ROUND SURFING ON THE REDWOOD COAST IS OWNING A PROPER 4-5mm WETSUIT.WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO BUY A WETSUIT SO YOU WILL CONTINUE TO FEEL WARM WHILE SURFING THE COLD, BUT BEAUTIFUL WATERS OF THE NORTH COAST**
